As people increasingly read and listen to books on their smartphone or tablet, they’re
discovering one of the best resources is their local public library. Matteson residents can
access over 74,000 digital ebooks and audiobooks free from Matteson Library. With a
library card, members of the community can borrow from the digital collection by
downloading the Libby app for your Smart device or by visiting here.
I am able to listen to audiobooks on my phone in my car and read on my I-pad at night. I
love being able to sync my devices so I can continue where I left off.
We are hosting a live, and virtual demonstrations of how to get started with borrowing
ebooks and audiobooks through the Libby app. This free online event features a session for
both new and experienced users and takes place on, Jan 13, 2022 from 7:00-8:00 pm.
More information and registration can be found here.
Libby seamlessly connects first-time users and experienced readers with our digital
collection. This locally selected collection offers ebooks, audiobooks, and digital
magazines. Readers of all ages can select from virtually every subject ranging from
mystery, romance, children’s, business and more.
