Did you know that you can explore some of the best museums and educational attractions in the Chicagoland area with a Museum Adventure Pass from the Matteson Area Public Library District? Thanks to our partnership with the Museum Adventure Program, library cardholders can check out passes for free or discounted admission to a variety of museums, zoos, and other exciting destinations.

Start your adventure by visiting museumadventure.org, where you’ll find detailed information about each participating location. The website provides everything you need to plan your visit, from operating hours to special exhibits and restrictions.

Here’s how it works:

  • Check Out a Pass: Simply visit your home library to check out a Museum Adventure Pass with your library card.
  • Availability: Passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and each library has a limited number of passes for each participating organization. They cannot be reserved online or by phone, so be sure to stop by early to secure your pass!
  • Loan Period: Passes can be checked out for a seven-day period, and one pass per family is allowed per loan period.
  • Admission and Discounts: Offers vary by location, but many museums provide free admission or special discounts. Some locations may offer general admission, while others may have additional benefits like gift shop discounts. Check the details on museumadventure.org for specific offers and restrictions.
  • Participating Locations: Visit top destinations like the Air Classics Inc. Museum of Aviation, American Writers Museum, Bronzeville Children’s Museum, Brookfield Zoo, Cernan Earth and Space Center at Triton College, Children’s Museum, and many more!
